Surroundings
There are numerous activities available in the area surrounding Landal Resort Maria Alm. Race on the summer toboggan run, visit an ice cave, and hike to the mountain tops. Alternatively, hop on a boat and explore nature from the water. Don't forget to pay a visit to one of the magnificent castles. The free Hochkönig Card (2024) provides numerous summer discounts, such as free rides on the six summer mountain railways, including bicycle transportation, and free access to the outdoor pool in Maria Alm.
Lake Zell
Lake Zell is the most beautiful lake in Salzurger Land. Rent a boat or hop on one of the large tour boats to take in the natural beauty from the water. You can also relax on one of the lawns surrounding the lake.
Saalachtal
The Saalachtal is a wetland area with high cliffs, streams, and plenty of opportunities for hiking, swimming, and rafting. A visit to the quaint villages of Lofer and Unken is also recommended.
Kaprun Castle
The castle in Kaprun dates from the 12th century and, after renovations, is a popular venue for parties and events. During a visit, you can explore the different rooms, including a museum and a bat cellar.

Biberg summer toboggan run
Daredevils can ride down the Biberg's 1,600-meter toboggan run. Step inside, shift into drive, and depart. During this thrilling ride, you'll have to brave 345 meters of altitude, 61 curves, and three super jumps.

Ferleiten Game and Adventure Park
Ferleiten is located in the Austrian province of Salzburg, at the foot of the Grossglockner Hochalpenstraße. This wildlife park is 15 hectares in size, and it is home to more than 40 different animal species, totaling more than 200 animals.
Hohenwerfen Castle
This 900-year-old castle in Salzburg's Pongau region brings the Middle Ages to life. There are activities for both children and adults. These include raptor demonstrations, an exciting riddle rally, and castle tours.

Eisriesenwelt
Walk through the world's largest ice cave. This 40-kilometer-long cave is located in Salzburg's Tennengebirge mountains. You enter, accompanied by a guide and a lamp. The magical tunnels and lakes will enchant you.
Jufenalm wildlife sanctuary
The Jufenalm, about an hour's walk from the mountain station, is a great place to see native species like red deer, mouflon, hares, and many more in their natural habitat. The wildlife park is open year round.
Nationalpark Welten
