Take a boat to Marken and spend the day exploring this small island on foot. Marken is known for its small wooden houses. Other attractions include a visit to the Klompenmakerij to see how wooden shoes are made, and the Marker Museum that features an exhibition about traditional costumes.

Landal Volendam has no restaurant in the park itself, but there are plenty of possibilities nearby. The Marina Volendam is within walking distance from the park. The pavilion at the marina serves up delicious cuisine with a view of the lake. Wake up to freshly baked bread rolls with an order from our sandwich delivery service. Enjoy your meal!
 Hiking and cycling
Looking for an active day outdoors? Stop by the reception. There are several bicycle routes available for you and you can rent bikes. How about a scenic bike ride along the Markermeer? Take in the views of meadows, water-logged fields and picturesque cows and sheep. When it's time for a break, it won't be difficult to find a lovely picnic spot.
 Swimming
A refreshing dip in the Markermeer is an option or head to the outdoor swimming pool next to the holiday park: Recreation centre Slobbeland. Includes a lawn and wooden playground equipment, overlooking the Markemeer. In Volendam, you can also swim indoors in De Waterdam pool where there is also a 50-meter outdoor pool with a diving pit and an outdoor pool with a water slide. Guaranteed water fun.

Volendam centre has numerous restaurants for a lovely evening meal. For those who want to explore the area, a trip by boat to Marken is highly recommended. And after a day at Zaanse Schans, Monnickendam or maybe even Amsterdam, you'll come back to the peace and quiet of Landal Volendam. With a cup of tea in your hand and your feet in the Markermeer - from the jetty, you have a wonderful view of the passing boats.
