With the beach just a 15 minute cycle, a refreshing dip is never far away. The beaches Hargen aan Zee and Camperduin have Blue Flags, a European hallmark for clean and safe marinas and beaches. About a 15 minutes drive, you will find the water amusement park De Holle Bolle Boom. Plenty of water fun for children aged 0 to 11 at the Holle Bolle Plons, the tropical water playground. For older children, there are spectacular slides in the Waterpark.
Food and drinks
In the area around Schoorl, you can eat out in a very varied way. From eating with a view at one of the beach pavilions to letting yourself be culinary surprised at star restaurant Merlet. Enjoy a snack and a drink at the bottom of the Schoorl Climbing Dune after an afternoon strolling around or stop by before or after a walk at IJgenwijs, a catering concept within walking distance of Park Scorleduyn.
Kids
Children can have a great time in nature near Park Scorleduyn. With the beach as a play paradise and the gnome and animal discovery trail, children will not be bored for a minute. With Speelpark de Goudvis and the Zee Aquarium nearby, there is also plenty of fun to be had indoors!
Sport and games
The Schoorl Dunes are ideally suited to exploring on foot or by bike. In the dunes alone, you will find a network of paved cycle paths of up to 20 kilometres and the dune area has a walking network of no less than 65 kilometres. Enough to discover! Crazy about water sports? At 'De Jongens van Schoorl', you can practice various water sports under the guidance of enthusiastic professionals.

At Park Scorleduyn, you can step straight from your roomy, standalone bungalow into one of the Netherlands' largest dune areas. This location offers splendid opportunities for walking, cycling, and mountain biking among the tall dunes. Don’t miss the Buitencentrum Schoorlse Duinen with the kids, where you can enjoy trails like the gnome and animal friend paths. You can bike to the wide beach of Hargen aan Zee in about 15 minutes from the park, where you can jump into the waves and grab a bite at the beach cafes. The village center of Schoorl, with its charming shops and eateries, is just a short walk from the park. If you feel like spending a day in the city, Den Helder, with its plenty of cafes, shops, and museums, is a great choice. The beaches close by, like Hargen aan Zee and Camperduin, have been awarded the Blue Flag, a European standard for clean and safe beaches and marinas.
