In these spacious holiday villas on the water you will want for nothing. Of course you have your own jetty but they are also equipped with everything inside. They are spacious and modernly furnished, so you can fully enjoy yourself. Do you want to enjoy extra luxury? Then book an accommodation with a sauna or outdoor hot tub. This will make your holiday very relaxing. There are accommodations for 6 to 12 people.

On to the Alde Feanen Nature Park

Take a refreshing dip, cast your line or step onto the boat from your private jetty. This is the perfect holiday destination for water lovers! Step onto the boat, or rent one in the area. From the park you can sail to National Park de Alde Feanen to enjoy a day of peace and quiet, in the middle of nature. This area is known because it went from ice plain to tundra and swamp, and now it has become a real recreational area. Much has changed over the years, which makes the area very versatile.

In addition to the beautiful nature in the area, there are vibrant cities waiting to be discovered. Explore idyllic Frisian villages but also cities such as Dokkum and Leeuwarden. These cities have everything: strolling along monumental buildings, beautiful canals and through the shopping streets! Of course, there are also plenty of terraces and for a bite to eat and a drink. Swimming

Did you know that Friesland is about 50 percent water? So, it's not surprising that swimming water is always nearby! After all, Friesland has many great swimming lakes, and one of them is at the park! For a refreshing dip or to swim a few lengths. Of course, you can also enjoy paddling at your accommodation to cool off.

Food and drinks

For snacks and drinks, visit one of the charming Frisian villages nearby. Join us in a restaurant after a day of exploring the area. Jump on a boat from your accommodation and sail to an attractive waterside restaurant. Prefer to eat in your accommodation? Go shopping in Noardburgum and make a feast in your own kitchen. Or order some delicious chips and treats.

Sport and games

Friesland means water sports galore! Hire a sup and explore Friesland's narrow ditches. Or rent a canoe or boat and sail the wider rivers and lakes. But there is so much more to do! Go sailing on one of Friesland's lakes, try wakeboarding behind a boat, or feel the adrenaline while kitesurfing. No experience with these activities yet? No worries, there are plenty of lessons in the area. So you can learn something new during your holiday!

Wooden Shoe Museum / Scherjon's Wooden Shoe Workshop, Noardburgum

The Clog Museum/Scherjon's Clog Workshop is now located where the center of northern clog making once was. The museum has a video presentation about the clog making craft.

Skutsjemuseum

The Skûtsjemuseum is located in the Stripe. In the smithy, sword-making workshop and sail-making workshop you will get an impression of the craftsmanship, techniques and materials needed to build a skûtsje.

Welcome to Waterpark Zwartkruis

Enjoy your time on a private dock with your feet in the water. Keep snacks and drinks close by. Maybe later, try fishing. That's a true holiday experience. Of course, you can choose to be active as well. You can rent a boat to navigate the Bergumermeer or, if you're feeling adventurous, explore the area by canoe or ride the Frisian winds on a surfboard. At Waterpark Zwartkruis, you have a temporary home by the water. Enjoy it as you should when taking a break from the routine. It's only a 25-minute drive to De Alde Feanen National Park. Discover the park on foot or by bicycle. Alternatively, rent a canoe to adventure through the reed beds and marshy forests. If you're looking for something different, head to Drachten or Leeuwarden for shopping and dining. If you prefer something more relaxed, there are cozy eateries and bars in the nearby villages. The friendly locals make you feel genuinely welcome. In the evening, return to your water bungalow and reflect on the water. It was another great day.
