Bicycle rental

At Landal Hunerwold State, you can easily hire a bike and explore the Drents-Friese Wold at your own pace. From the park, you can cycle straight into the countryside, past heathland, sand drifts and forest paths. There are also routes in the area for mountain bikers, such as near Appelscha with challenging single tracks. Cycle to Diever or the Aekingerzand, or head further towards Dwingelderveld. After an active day, return to the park to relax, settle down on the terrace or put your feet up for a while.

Bread roll service

Start your day at a leisurely pace with the bread roll service. In the morning, collect your fresh bread rolls, pastries and eggs (to order) from reception. This way, you can sit down relaxed for a lovely breakfast and get your day at the park off to a good start.

Gourmet and BBQ packages

Enjoy a cosy evening in with a gourmet meal. You can savour a delicious meal right in your accommodation without the hassle of spending hours in the kitchen. Everything is prepared for you: a selection of meats, fresh salads, baguettes, and various sauces. This gives you more time to simply relax and dine together. If you prefer to cook outdoors, you can book the BBQ package instead. We provide everything you need for a relaxing evening of grilling on your private terrace.

Food and drink in the area

Around Hunerwold State, the fun begins the moment you step outside. In the surrounding area, you’ll find restaurants where hospitality and flavour come together. At Landhotel Diever, you can sit down to a carefully prepared three-course meal. The restaurant is open seven days a week.

Mountain biking in the area

The Drents-Friese Wold offers mountain bike trails for every level. You’ll cycle along single tracks, through woods and over sandy paths, surrounded by nature. A great way to stay active whilst enjoying the scenery. Don’t have a mountain bike with you? Simply hire one at reception and set off to explore the trails in the Drents-Friese Wold.

Dogs are more than welcome at Landal Hunerwold State, where they can enjoy a holiday just as much as you do. You can explore the beautiful surrounding countryside together on the area's many walking trails. There is even a swimming area near the park where dogs can play and cool down.
