Landal Landgoed Bourtange now available to book for the summer
Near the renowned fortified town of Bourtange in eastern Groningen lies Landal Landgoed Bourtange, a new holiday park set beautifully in the countryside of the Westerwolde region. Here, 143 luxury and energy-efficient homes have been built in various styles for 2, 4, 6 or 8 people. The holiday villas are available for bookings from 28 June this year.
The high-quality holiday homes are fully equipped, offer a high degree of privacy and are fully furnished and styled, ready for rental. The architecture of the houses blends seamlessly with its surroundings. In the first phase, nine different housing types will be created for 2, 4, 6 and 8 people. The existing facilities centre will be replaced in due course by a new, stylish building that complements the various homes in terms of its architecture. In and around the building, guests will find a reception, a small restaurant, mini-supermarket with sandwich service, children’s play areas, a large terrace and an outdoor swimming pool. The indoor swimming pool, located 7 km away, is open to guests free of charge.
Bourtange and its surroundings
Landal Landgoed Bourtange is surrounded by impressive natural beauty and diverse woodlands. The area has a wealth of walking and cycling routes and boasts the longest mountain bike route network. The development from campsite to a natural recreation park puts the estate in a unique position in the Westerwolde region. Located nearby is the star-shaped fortress of Bourtange from 1742, which was recently fully restored. The area is home to many arts and cultural festivals. Cities such as Emmen (32 km) with Wildlands and Thermen Bad Nieuwe Schans (40 km) and nice little villages just across the border in Germany are quick easy and to get to. Groningen (66 km) is less than an hour’s drive away.
