From the beginning of 2021, Landal GreenParks adds the holiday park Fyrklit to its range. “We are continuously looking for new opportunities in Denmark, where we can add value with our back-to-nature brand and green concept. Fyrklit ticks all the boxes and offers great quality across the board with a large untapped potential in for instance prolonging the season and attracting new guest from Denmark and our international client base. We are looking forward to offering these new opportunities and activities to our guests in such attractive surroundings right by the sea,” says Søren Sandberg, Regional Director of Landal GreenParks in Denmark.

Unique location for a real Danish nature holiday experience
Fyrklit has a unique location in coastal surroundings covering an area of over 130,000 m2, with the sea to one side and protected nature on all the other sides, 28 meter above sea level giving all of the 178 apartments in the park an amazing sea view. The park has a strong heritage, built upon bunkers from World War II with neighbours such as the Hirtshals lighthouse and the bunker museum, and only a few kilometres from the fishing town Hirtshals. The holiday apartments will continue to be privately owned, but the operation of the park will be taken over by Landal GreenParks.

“Nature is an essential part of the holiday experience at Fyrklit, why we see a great match with the Landal GreenParks DNA and overall offering. We are excited to become a part of such a strong and proven concept that will help strengthen and utilize our potential. In this way, we are able to improve the guest experience even further within the concept of nature experiences and activities in green surroundings,” says Morten Nørgaard Morthorst, Chairman of Fyrklit's Board of Directors.

Landal quality requirements
Fyrklit already lives up to the Landal quality requirements and several of the apartments are newly renovated. Landal GreenParks and the group of owners are setting up a joint an investment fund to ensure ongoing modernization of the park, such as upgrading the activities and facilities in the park.
