You really don’t want to think about having to cancel your holiday due to unforeseen circumstances. Yet it could happen. That is why you can easily take out travel insurance with us when booking or up to 14 days afterwards. We work together with Europ Assistance, offering you insurance that includes a 24/7 helpline. So you can be assured that help is there for you when needed.

I want to submit a claim
It is easy to report your damage online via Europ Assistance. Create an account, enter your personal details and add the necessary documents. The employees at Europ Assistance will process your damage claim. Once all documents are submitted completely and the claim is approved, you can expect the money back in your account within 4 weeks.
Why purchase cancellation insurance?
This insurance reimburses your travel sum if you must cancel your full stay or leave early. The unused days of holiday will be reimbursed.

Please note that you take out insurance for the accommodation. Costs are only covered if the stay is cancelled in full. If a number of people cannot join you, only the tourist tax will be refunded.

Which costs will I be reimbursed?
Among other things, you are insured for costs incurred by:
  • Illness of the insured person and family members up to a 3rd degree relative*. Illness includes Corona in case of a positive official test (not a self-test). 
  • Leaving your holiday early due to a hospital admission/death of a family member and/or major damage to the residence;
  • Dismissal of the insured person by their employer;
  • Insured person or travelling companion is pregnant. This applies if the trip takes place within the last three months of pregnancy.
*great-grandparents, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces (children of siblings), uncles and aunts (the parent’s siblings).
Cost of cancellation insurance
The cost of the cancellation insurance is calculated per accommodation. All guests staying in the same accommodation are also insured.
  • € 37,70 for a weekend or midweek
  • € 48,75 for a week
  • € 1,30 per night/per campsite pitch.

After making your reservation, you have 14 days to purchase cancellation insurance. Your booking date is considered the first day. Please note: if you want to take out cancellation insurance for a stay with an arrival date within 30 days, you can only purchase cancellation insurance on the day you make the booking.

The costs if you do not take out cancellation insurance:
The costs of cancelling up to 30 days before arrival are 30% of the total travel sum. In case of cancellation from the 30th day before arrival, it is 100%.
