The city of Luxembourg
Luxembourg is only a half hour drive away, across the eastern border. Walk through the luxurious shopping streets, step inside the magnificent cathedral or stroll through the narrow streets of the picturesque 'Grund’, in the city's valley.
Domain des Grottes de Han
Explore the geological treasures in the underground Grottes de Han caves. Descend towards ‘middle earth’ to admire this unique natural phenomenon. The caves are near Rochefort, around a 30-minute drive from the park.
Bouillon Castle
Travel back in time more than 1000 years with a visit to one of the largest fortified castles in Belgium. Stroll through the maze of rooms and hallways and enjoy magnificent views of the Semois river. The courtyard of the castle often hosts demonstrations of falconry or other birds of prey.
The Orval Abbey
This is one of the most famous historic abbeys in the Ardennes, famous for its homemade beer and cheeses. Visit the museum to learn everything about the art of beer brewing. Also make sure you see the ancient ruins. The pillars, tomb stones and the remaining contours of a gothic window exude a unique history. Don't miss it!
Lac de Neufchâteau
An important landmark in the region, Neufchâteau Lake is very popular with fans of water sports. Here you can try your hand at windsurfing, kayaking, swimming and fishing. The lake lies a bit lower than the city and is the perfect starting point for beautiful walks through pristine nature. There are a number of wooden walkways and various bike paths. Bring your own bicycles or rent bicycles at the lake.
