Hiking and cycling

Put on your walking boots or hire a bicycle at the park. Whether you want to be active or relax, you have plenty of options. From an active trip out to a cultural visit. There is an extensive network of hiking, cycling, and car routes extending from the park. Pop in to reception for more information and tips!

Climb the Cauberg

The Cauberg is the most notable hill for cyclists in the Netherlands, and it is not without good reason that many cycling events are held here. Would you like to trace the route of the Amstel Gold Race yourself or take part in the Boogies Extreme? The runs start from the park. There are also various cycle routes in the vicinity, or you could even devise one yourself! Go on a fun day out with your family, a mountain bike trip along the Geul, or even try cave biking in Valkenburg.

Before you leave, or after returning from a trip in the countryside, you can call in at the maintenance workshop to get your bicycle cleaned, your chain oiled, your tyres pumped up, and your punctures repaired. Very convenient!

Hiking

After a lavish breakfast with fresh warm bread rolls, you are ready for a new day in the greenery of the countryside. Or why not discover the prettiest parts of Maastricht on a city walk?
