Hiking and cycling

Wake up, the sun is shining. After a lavish breakfast with fresh warm bread rolls, you are ready for a new day. Cycle past the colourful tulip bulb fields in spring, through the polders and centuries-old villages. Or walk in Het Zwanenwater nature reserve and along the coast. Relaxed enjoyment.

Cycling in the surrounding area

From sprawling dunes, polders and fields of flower bulbs to green meadows. North Holland's cycling landscape around Julianadorp and Callantsoog has much to offer. Cycle by the De Groote Kaap lighthouse on to Schagen, Den Helder or the former island of Wieringen. Handy: The North Holland tourist office already has a number of cycling routes ready for you. You can finish off the afternoon with a cup of coffee or tea and a slice of apple pie at Steaks & Burgers at the park!

Hiking on Texel

Den Helder is just 8 kilometres of the park. Here, you can take the ferry for the 20-minute trip to Texel. With wonderful sea breezes and hiking, Texel is the ideal spot for a day trip. Visit the lighthouse or go to Ecomare.

Want to know more? The park reception will be glad to help you. It is not necessary to book the boat.

Tip: Bikes & More bicycle rental

You don't have to bring your own bicycle to explore the area surrounding the park. At Landal Beach Resort Ooghduyne, you can rent ladies', men's and children's bicycles as well as go-karts and electric bicycles. We like to make things easy for you!
