Discover nature through play
Set out together on an exciting nature experience route that leads you along the most beautiful spots at the park. Climb and clamber on rugged playground equipment and complete the assignments. The trail map with questions and assignments is available for free at the Reception. Go out and explore!
Birds and darkness
You will find many birds at our park, attracted by the bird houses and the special plants. The area of Lauwersmeergebied has also been designated as a Dark Sky Park. It's so dark here at night that you have a privileged view of the stars and the Milky Way.
In the heart of Lauwersmeer National Park
Thanks to its unique ecosystem, Lauwersmeer has been designated a national park. Spot one of more than 100 species of birds that nest in the wilderness composed of water, islands, forest, reeds and rugged grasslands.

Welcome to Landal Natuurdorp Suyderoogh
The detached accommodation offered by Landal Natuurdorp Suyderoogh is located in Lauwersmeer National Park. This is where sailors and surfers head for the water, where bird watchers set out with their binoculars and where the adventurous go walking on the mudflats. There is plenty to do in the area: sail towards Schiermonnikoog or if the weather is not too good, visit Dokkum, Kollum or Zoutkamp.
