You can do it all on Vlieland. For example, take a trip on the Vliehors Express over Vlieland’s sandy plains, also called the Sahara of the North. You can see Texel from the western point and you may even spot some seals!

The beach also provides plenty of activities: kite flying, beach golfing, kite surfing, power kiting, rafting… And don’t miss the opportunity to go on a seal spotting tour.  Hiking and cycling
Ready to explore the nature at Vlieland? Climb to the highest dune of the Wadden Islands: Vuurboetsduin. Hop on a bike and follow the shell covered trails. The island offers many beautiful walking and biking routes. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars on a beach walk so you can keep an eye out for seals.

Discover the spectacular landscape of the car-free Wadden island of Vlieland. It seems like you have landed in the middle of a picture postcard. This comfortable island radiates peace, nature and relaxation. And that is precisely what you will find there. Within walking distance of the charming village of Oost-Vlieland is the small-scale apartment complex of Landal Vlieduyn, with its 2-person apartments.

The beach is just 200 metres away from your modern apartment. You can enjoy endless walks under the watchful eye of the mighty 'Vuurduin', as the Vlieland lighthouse is lovingly known. But of course there are also countless kilometres of cycle paths that lead you through the islands' dunes and beautiful woodlands. Did you know that the 'Vuurboetsduin', at 45 metre above sea level, is the highest dune in the Wadden islands?
