Dovedale
One of the Peak District's most-loved beauty spots, Dovedale is famed for its stepping stones that lay across the River Dove, and lead you to the towering Thorpe Cloud. It’s easy access paths make it a popular picnic spot for families.

Ilam Park
Ilam Park is a family-friendly destination that is an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding area on foot. A popular walk is across the fields from Ilam Park to the famous stepping stones in Dovedale. It is open all year.
Ashbourne
The historic market town of Ashbourne is known as the Gateway to the Peak District. It is the ideal starting point for exploring the White Peak countryside. Offering a wealth of shops to explore, be sure to pop in and pick up a souvenir.

Alton Towers
A world-famous theme park, Alton Towers is home to over 40 amazing rides and attractions as well as CBeebies Land. A must-visit for anyone visiting the area. You can also explore shops and restaurants located throughout the Theme Park.

Tissington trail
The Tissington Trail stretches 13 miles and has a fascinating history. It is an excellent location for a thrilling bike ride or a relaxing stroll. Explore the former station platforms, look for the old signal box or appreciate the wildflowers.

Ecclesbourne Valley Railway
Escape to the countryside on Derbyshire's longest heritage railway! Take the EMR train to Duffield, then travel back in time on heritage steam, diesel, and diesel railcar services. The line passes through some of the most beautiful scenery.

Peak Wildlife Park

Haddon Hall

Matlock Farm Park
A fantastic day out with plenty of activities for the whole family. Farm animals such as sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys, emus and meerkats can be found here. You can also assist in feeding the meerkats and handling small animals.

Chatsworth House
The iconic home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, Chatsworth House is open daily for the public to explore its grand interior and sprawling gardens. The estate is featured in many films including Pride and Prejudice.

Carsington Water
Carsington Water has some of the best boat fly fishing in the area! Explore the area's scenic trails on top brand mountain bikes which are available for rent. You can also enjoy the water by windsurfing, sailing or exploring the paddlesports bay.

Heights of Abraham
Start your day at the Heights of Abraham by flying in one of the famous cable cars and exploring the Peak District surroundings. Visitors can learn about Heights' heritage in three different exhibitions. Allow the kids to play freely on the playgrounds.
