Swimming in Lauwersmeer
On a warm summer day, there is nothing better than a refreshing swim in the water of Lauwersmeer. A small beach is tucked away behind the dike, right next to the park. A great spot to go for a swim and work on your tan. Put on some sunscreen and soak up those rays.
Cycling in Fryslân
The border between Friesland and Groningen offers beautiful nature, ready to explore. Cycle along the green countryside through picturesque villages. From the park, cycle the 13 km route to the charming Frisian town of Dokkum. Visit the open-air museum 't Fiskershúske in Moddergat or discover the old windmill in Anjum. Didn't bring a bike? Not a problem. At the park you can rent an e-bike, mountain bike or a seven-speed bicycle.
Pitch & Putt and footgolf
Come play Pitch & Putt on the 18-hole course. The ideal outing for young and old and suitable for both experienced and inexperienced players. The height differences, obstacles, water features make this course unique. But there is more to do on the course, how about footgolf, which is fun for everyone. After a short explanation, you get a ball and start playing golf with your feet.
