 Sports and games
Squash, tennis, basketball, beach volleyball or air hockey: we have it all. Or go bowling or play a round of adventure golf. And don’t forget to bring your fishing gear, because we have a great fishing pond at the park. Would you rather be on the water, then rent a water bike. Under the assistance of an instructor, you can even try your hand at archery. Kids will never be bored with our Fun & Entertainment team.

 Swimming
Splash! It’s time to go to the swimming pool. At Landal Aelderholt you can swim in the indoor swimming pool. Race down the 60 m long waterslide, swim a few laps or relax in the whirlpool tub. For our youngest guests we have a special paddling pool. On a nice day you can take a refreshing dive into the outdoor swimming pool in Zweeloo (only 10 minutes by bike).
 Kids
Bollo, the best friend of our youngest guests, makes sure that your children will never be bored! Kids can release all their adrenalin by climbing and screaming in the indoor playground or do some crafts with recycled materials in the Atelier.
 Beauty and wellness
Holidays are a time for relaxing. Reserve a moment to pamper yourself and visit our Beauty & Wellness. Book a massage, get a manicure or a haircut, or enjoy a full facial treatment. And did you know we can also offer a complete relaxation package? Get ready to relax.
 With your dog
Your faithful four-legged companion is always welcome at Landal Aelderholt. Book your stay in a special dog-friendly bungalow with a fenced garden, so your dog has room to play. We have thought of everything and included a dog bed, waste bags and a food and water bowl. Walk your dog in the forest and then rinse off muddy paws at the dog shower. Did you forget something? The Parkshop offers a selection of pet products.
 Golf
Do you like to play golf? Right next to the park you will find the Drentse golf club ‘De Gelpenberg’, with an 18-hole course and a 9-hole par-3 golf course. Come and hit some balls in a lovely setting surrounded by forests and heathlands. As a guest of Landal Aelderholt, you will receive a 20% discount!
 Hiking and cycling
Time to explore the region! Grab your bike or slip on your hiking shoes and explore the beautiful nature of Drenthe. At the park you can rent a regular or electric bike. There are numerous marked hiking and walking routes. Plan an adventure and relax in nature. Tip: make sure to bike out to the Hunebed Centre Borger and visit the beautiful prehistoric monuments.

Welcome to Landal Aelderholt

The Landal Aelderholt holiday park is located in the woodland area of south-east Drenthe. This is a great place to relax - your accommodation is in the heart of the countryside. And the children too - they can spend hours enjoying themselves in the indoor play paradise. With 1,100 kilometres of cycle paths, Drenthe is truly a province for cycling lovers. From your accommodation, dolmens, woods, moorlands, and pretty villages are all within easy reach by bicycle.

There are also some wonderful routes for hikers. You can even walk around the tree tops, on the Boomkroonpad. The Mepperdennen are just a stone's throw away, while the village of Aalden, with its traditional Saxon farms, is also close by. At the holiday park itself, you have a choice of accommodation - there are several luxury detached units in the form of a farm, and eight-person Eco bungalows. There is also a superfast slide! The slide is sixty metres long, and has a fantastic starry sky.
