Landal GreenParks to open its fourth holiday park in Great Britain on 20 July 2018. Landal Sandybrook is located near the market town of Ashbourne in a spectacular nature reserve to the south of the Peak District National Park and between Manchester and Birmingham. The opening of the new park will raise the international profile of Landal GreenParks. Great Britain is one of the nine European countries in which the holiday provider operates.
Landal Sandybrook is located in the Peak District National Park close to Landal Darwin Forest, Landal’s first park in England. The Peak District National Park is a great tourist attraction which makes the region popular not only among the British, but also holidaymakers from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The surrounding area offers beautiful landscapes and many exhilarating outdoor activities.
The park has over 55 lodges which will be completed over the coming months with several luxury lodges fitted with a jacuzzi. The main facilities are also being expanded to include new indoor activities. Guests can use the swimming pool where they can ‘walk on water’ in the large inflatable WaterWalkerz balls, take snorkelling lessons with qualified instructors or go on a voyage of discovery with the underwater scooters. There is also a gaming area and a playing field. The park and the surrounding area are excellently suited to outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, mountain biking and mountain climbing.
Landal Gwel an Mor wins award for the best holiday park in England
“The news about the opening of Landal Sandybrook comes at almost the same time as our third park, Landal Gwel an Mor in Cornwall, which has been honoured as the best holiday park in Great Britain. We are off to a good start in England, and it’s great to see how British holidaymakers are discovering and appreciating our Landal parks. We are also looking forward to offering the Landal quality and hospitality at Landal Sandybrook”, said Thomas Heerkens.
