Bludenz Alpine region hiking trails

Brandnertal- Lünersee - Totalp-Hütte 
Fancy a challenging mounting hike? Then try the 9 kilometres long hiking trail running along the stunning Lünersee. The highest point of this trail lies at 2,385 metres! 

Educational hikes in Grosswalsertal  
At 2,000 - 2,100 metres in Fontanella-Faschina, lies an educational trail. Nearly all occurring Alpine flowers can be found here and many of them are depicted and described on informational signs. The trail runs along a mountain slope with beautiful views.

Archery hiking trail 
Or try the adventurous archery hiking trial. The 3D-route has 28 stages and goes from the cable car station of the Dorfbahn in Brand over an easy path to the valley. Another 3D-route lies in nearby Bürserberg/Tschengla, on the Tschengla (1,250 metres) elevated plain. 
Skyver-tours 
With a Skyver-tour, you hike up a mountain with a backpack and then back to the valley on a skyver - a foldable mountain bike. Skyver-tours are suitable for adults and teenagers/older children. Do you enjoy a combination of hiking and cycling? Then a skyver-tour is just the ticket!

Nordic walking
There are plenty of opportunities to go Nordic Walking in the mountains near Brandnertal. If you do not have much experience, you can also hit the trail with a guide. Go and get that fresh mountain air!

Montafon Hiking trails

In the Gargellen 
Hiking in the Gargellen. At the crack of dawn, the first sunlight hits the enormous Madris massif. With a smile on your face, you will be taking the cable car to a height of 2130 metres. From the Schafberg plateau, the rest of the trip is on foot. Clear air, fantastic views and historical trails lead to Antönier, Ried Rätschenfluh or even up to around the Madrisa. Everyone has their own personal dream trip with wonderful views and serenity. Pure enjoyment!

Schmugglerpfad/Smugglers' trail (2,450 m) 

Hike through the colourful mountain meadows, take in the breath-taking panoramas of the Schmugglersteig. Eagles soar over the mountain tops. Marmots and chamois cross your path and sometimes the rare ibex shows itself. Pure nature - unique! Cable car station Schafberg - St. Antönier Joch - Gafier See - Gafier Joch - Schafberghüsli / Cable car station (4.5 hours).

Gafier Joch (2,415 m) 
A varied hiking trail through Gafier Joch: colourful, fragrant mountain flowers line the path and if you look up you will see the gigantic 'Bergmassiv der Madrisa'. And then a breathtaking moment....the impressive 'Rätschenfluh' lies before you as a gigantic glazier. Cable car station Schafberg - Gafier Joch - Schafberghüsli / Cable car station (2.5 hours). 
Riedkopf (2,552 m) 
An impressive mountain hike: fabulous view over Rätikon, the Silvretta up to Bernina. Cable car station Schafberg - St. Äntönier Joch - mostly easy hiking on mountain ridge up to Riedkopf - Täscher - Täli - Kessl-Hütte - Rüti - Gargellen (5 hours).

Mountain lakes (2,000 - 2,200 m) 
A hike for the senses: through a sea of flowers of Alpine roses, beautiful Arnika and clear blue mountain lakes under the Madrisa past the massive Alpine pine trees and giant blocks of gneis, prehistoric remnants. Cable car station Schafberg - Schafbergsee - Gandasee - Obwaldhütte - Gargellen (3.5 hours).

Europa stairs 4000 
In Partenen you will find the longest straight stairs with approximately 4,000 steps. With 700 m height difference and slopes of 86%, it is a true fitness workout. Benches next to the stairs invite you to take a breather on the way and enjoy the fantastic view.

Nordic Walking 
Complete an active Nordic Walking trail in Montafon and feel reborn. The combination of sport and fresh mountain air is extremely healthy. The Smugglers' trail lasting approximately 1.5 hours is highly recommended.
