Hiking over the mountain pathways in Lungau is a fabulous experience in every season. The beautiful landscape in the south of Salzburgerland is a favourite among hikers. Katschberg hiking trails
Pöllatal hiking experience
Take a hike with all the family through Katschberg. You will see signs along the way with information about the surrounding area. There are useful puzzles for the children to solve. The six-kilometre walk can be extended for the more active hikers.
Wolfsbachtal flower route
The Wolfsbachtal is nicknamed the Valley of 1,000 orchids", because of the wide range of lilies and herbs that grow there. If you come in the spring, you will find yourself in a veritable sea of flowers. This walk in St. Peter.
There is a hikers' bus that runs throughout Lungau which brings hikers back to where they started. Walks from one valley to another are very popular but also quite long. The hikers' bus is therefore the ideal solution!
The breathtaking scenery of Katschberg is ideal for Nordic walking. The fresh mountain air invigorates and energises walkers. Try on the many routes of differing degrees of difficulty.
Bad Kleinkirchheim hiking trails
Put on a sturdy pair of walking boots and discover the area around Bad Kleinkirchheim on foot. There are some delightful routes for hikers in St. Oswald, Millstättersee, Ossiachersee, and Nockalmstrasse. The flora and fauna in this heavily wooded area are beautiful.
Seebodner experience route
This exciting round trip is suitable for all the family. The Milstätter See is a great place to stop for your picnic. You will pass the church and castle at Sommeregg on your way and you can stop off at the Bonsaimuseum.
In the Nockberge National Park, there are three Nordic walking routes of various degrees of difficulty. From the Brunnach cable car mountain station, you can practise your favourite sport at great heights (1,750 - 2,200 metres).
